What started as a simple hobby to get outside and stay active during lockdown quickly turned into a full-blown addiction.
Based in the beautiful Hinterland region of Port Stephens and the Hunter Valley, NSW, my floral design journey began in 2020 when I decided to try my hand at building a garden on our un-landscaped rural property. Before long, I realised just how much I loved it. The next few years were spent designing, building, growing, and (happily) gifting flowers to friends and family whenever I could.
By the end of 2023, it was clear this wasn’t just a hobby anymore — it was a path I truly wanted to follow. That’s when I enrolled as a student at The School of Floral Design in Newcastle.
I’m especially drawn to native Australian flowers and their South African relatives. Their rich colours, incredible textures, long vase life and ability to look just as beautiful dried as they do fresh completely won me over.
I grow as much of my floral stock as possible, overseeing every stage of the process — from tiny seeds sprouting, right through to maturity and my favourite part of all… flowering! The growing journey is just as important to me as the final design, and I love being able to share the full story of each flower, from conception to creation.
By creating with flowers that are long-lasting and thoughtfully grown, my designs offer not just beauty and meaning, but real value for money. Plus, when you order, you’re also supporting local growers — something I’m incredibly proud of.
